Act! v20.1 Update 6 Now Available

The Act! v20.1 Update 6 release is the most significant since the initial realease of Act! v20.1 in mid-March 2018. In this release, Swiftpage has incorporated a number of feature improvements, quality improvements, custom table improvements and defect resolutions. For those of you that are currently running v20.1, you should consider downloading this latest update. Please note that this update is NOT schema breaking, so it can be implemented on a user by user basis in your Act! v20.1 system without impacting other users.

Some highlights of the Act! v20.1 Update 6 are:

  • Important email integration fix to ensure correct email address is used when the contact’s emails stored in Outlook & Act! do not match
  • Shortcut to save uploaded documents in Act! to your local drive
  • Assign an ID/Status immediately when creating an Act! contact via Outlook integration
  • Contact column included automatically in many list views
  • Act! Premium for Web improvements regarding ease of use and load time

Please note – If you are already running Act! v20.1, you only need to download the latest Update 6. It includes updates 1 – 5 as well.

Another key point is that these updates do not affect the schema of your Act! database, meaning anyone can safely apply the update. While not required, it would be beneficial and a best practice to apply this update to all Act! users. Note: for Act! Premium Web users, this update must be applied on the server hosting your Act! database. We recommend contacting your Act! administrator to handle the Web server update, which will then implement the fix for all Web users.
