Earlier this year, Swiftpage released its newest update, Act! v20.1. One of the major improvements was the addition of Custom Tables directly within Act!. AspenTech CRM held a webinar demonstrating the Act! Custom Table functionality. You can watch the entire webinar here.

What are Custom Tables & How Can You Use Them?

Tables are the underlying structure of any database. Out of the box, Act! has built-in tables which include Contacts, Companies, Opportunities, Histories, and more. The names of these tables help you imagine the data that goes into them. Now, think about the other important data in your organization that you are keeping somewhere, but is not currently in Act!, because you weren’t sure how to fit it in. This information may include details on machines / equipment, warranty expirations, insurance policies, project management, service tickets, and much more depending upon your business and industry.

Now with the Custom Tables in Act! Premium Plus, you have the ability to create your own custom tables for valuable data. The Custom Tables Manager gives you flexibility to design and import simple or complex data sets, incorporate unique business processes and specialized industry practices all in one spot – your Act database. This is a major enhancement for managing your business.

Act! Premium Plus 

Custom Table functionality requires an Act! Premium Plus subscription. For many current Act! subscribers, this could be as little as an additional $10/user/month, depending on your current subscription level. In addition to Custom Tables, if you are an Act! Cloud Hosted customer, an upgrade to Premium Plus would give a Private Cloud Option.
