In testing with the latest update to Google Chrome (version 59), an issue has been discovered affecting customers using this browser to access their Act! data. This results from a change made by Google around how popup windows are managed.
How To Check Your Version of Google Chrome
To check your version of Google Chrome, simply follow these 3 easy steps:
- Click on the vertical 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of your browser in Chrome.
- Click About.
- Your version will appear in the middle left hand side of the screen.
Users of Act! Premium for Web or Act! Premium Cloud who apply this Chrome update (publicly available from 6 June 2017) will see that all menus and dialog boxes in Act! which were previously popups, now open in a new browser tab. The Act! desktop client is not affected.
Act! has a solution to this issue, and is working to provide updates to Act! Premium v19.x customers and the Act! Premium Cloud environment as quickly as possible.
