Act! Companion v2.4 - New Features and API Download

Act! Companion is a mobile app that allows you to stay connected to key Act! details from wherever you are! Act! Companion is available on iPhone®, iPad®, and Android™.  Not familiar with Act! Companion? Click here.  In previous versions of Companion, you already could access, edit or create records such as Contacts, Companies, Opportunities, Histories and Activities.  In the updated version you will continue to have those capabilities plus more!

So what's new in Companion v2.4?

  • View documents attached to your contacts
  • Upload pictures from your mobile device to contact records
  • Send SMS text messages from your mobile device
  • To see the official list, click here

What do I need to do to update to Companion v2.4?

There is an important update you need to make on your server (or the machine that hosts your primary database). 

  • On your server, simply click here and install the updated API software.
  • Note - If you are Cloud Hosted with Act!, this API update will be done for you automatically.
  • Note - If you are Cloud Hosted with a 3rd-Party, they will also apply this as well.
  • Once the update is applied, have users update their Companion app in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
